A high risk of sharps injuries, glove tear, and contamination (incidents) makes the operating  room a zone of increased risk of exposure to biological hazards. Surgeons and operating room personnel are at highest risk of blood infections transmitted by blood borne pathogens due to sharps injuries. \u0422o prevent sharps injuries expert healthcare organisations <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/anzenscalpel.com\/organizations-agree-on-top-sharps-safety-recommendations-best-practices\/\" target=\"_blank\">recommend<\/a> to use a Neutral\/Hands-Free zone for passing sharp instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A magnetic drape is a good way to designate a neutral zone in the operating room. Round magnets of the magnetic drape hold tightly sharp surgical instruments and surgeons can pick them up right from a sterile drape thus avoiding hand to hand transfer of the sharps.
